Was 2023 a good year for the patent market? We are torn. When we wrote the first draft of this year's report, the data looked gloomy. But then when we dug deeper and realised that the last year turned out not to be too bad.

If you were a buyer, 2023 was a good time to be in the market. For sellers, your experiences were all over the map. In this, our 12th patent market report, we use our expanded data set and look at some of the factors that made 2023 and might make 2024 – dare we say – a buyer's bonanza and a seller's struggle.
